For a few years now I’ve kept track of the horror films I’ve seen and I’ve used a simple letter grading system. Of course, these are subjective to me. They are as follows:
A = Classic/Great horror + great film-making
B = Above average/Worthy of rewatches or owning
C = Average/A solid rental or one-time watch
D = Below Average/Watch only if you’re bored or morbidly curious, and do not spend $ on it/The “So bad it’s good” category
F = Not even so bad it’s good/Absolute dreck.
Note: I normally reserve “A” grades for movies I’ve had the opportunity to rewatch. For movies I really enjoy and think may be worthy of an “A” I will generally grade as a “B+” until such time as I can revisit them.
